Possible sources include: \u201cgoogle\u201d (the name of a search engine), \u201cfacebook.com\u201d (the name of a referring site), \u201cspring_newsletter\u201d (the name of one of your newsletters), and \u201cdirect\u201d (users that typed your URL directly into their browser, or who had bookmarked your site).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Medium:<\/strong>\u00a0Every referral to a website also has a medium. Possible medium include: \u201corganic\u201d (unpaid search), \u201ccpc\u201d (cost per click, i.e. paid search), \u201creferral\u201d (referral), \u201cemail\u201d (the name of a custom medium you have created), \u201cnone\u201d (direct traffic has a medium of \u201cnone\u201d).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Term:<\/strong>\u00a0This is a keyword that the user used to get to your website.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Campaign<\/strong>\u00a0is the name of the referring AdWords campaign or a custom campaign that you have created.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Content<\/strong>\u00a0identifies a specific link or content item in a custom campaign. For example, if you have two call-to-action links within the same email message, you can use different Content values to differentiate them so that you can tell which version is most effective.<\/p>\n<p>You can use\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/analytics\/answer\/1033863\">Custom Campaigns<\/a>\u00a0to tag links to use your own custom values for Campaign, Medium, Source, and Keyword.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/gaconnector.com\/docs\/channel-parameter-values\/\"><strong>Channel<\/strong><\/a> is a group of several traffic sources with the same medium, such as <em>Organic Search, Paid Search, Paid Social, Direct, Display etc<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Referrer<\/strong> is the\u00a0URL of the web page\u00a0that linked to your site, and from\u00a0which the user came from.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Landing page<\/strong>\u00a0is the URL of the first page that the user has opened during a session (the first session or the last one before conversion).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>First- and last-click source<\/h2>\n<p>GA Connector tracks two sets of parameters: first-click and last-click.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes users may come to your site multiple times from different source. For example, a\u00a0user may have seen your Facebook ad,<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Seen your Facebook ad and clicked on it.<\/li>\n<li>Came to your site, but didn\u2019t convert yet.<\/li>\n<li>Remembered about your company in a few days, typed its name in Google and came back to your site.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>In this example, first-click data would correspond to a visit from Facebook, and the last-click data would correspond to Google Organic visit.<\/p>\n<h2>Other parameters<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Google Analytics Client ID<\/strong> &#8211; Google Analytics uses this ID to identify the users. This ID can be used to send CRM data to Google Analytics (without it, GA won&#8217;t know where to put the information about the user).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Google Analytics Session ID <\/strong>&#8211; Google Analytics uses this ID to group all user interactions within a single session. It&#8217;s useful for understanding visit-level behavior.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Google Analytics Measurement ID<\/strong> &#8211; This ID identifies the GA4 data stream where the data should be sent. Required for proper GA4 tracking.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Time Spent on Website<\/strong> &#8211; the overall time that the user spent on the website, during all their sessions before the conversion.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Number of Website\u00a0Visits<\/strong> &#8211; total number of pageviews.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pages Visited<\/strong> &#8211; list of all URL that the user visited on your website.<\/p>\n<p>The rest of the parameters are pretty much self-explanatory:<\/p>\n<p><strong>IP Address<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>City<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Country<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Location<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Time Zone<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Country<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Browser<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>GA Connector tracks the following information about\u00a0the users: &nbsp; Traffic source\u00a0parameters Source:\u00a0Every referral to a website has an origin, or source.
