{"id":3397,"date":"2025-02-12T09:30:25","date_gmt":"2025-02-12T09:30:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gaconnector.com\/docs\/?p=3397"},"modified":"2025-02-12T09:30:25","modified_gmt":"2025-02-12T09:30:25","slug":"using-ga-connector-with-wordpress-caching-plugins","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gaconnector.com\/docs\/using-ga-connector-with-wordpress-caching-plugins\/","title":{"rendered":"Using GA Connector with WordPress Caching Plugins"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Cache plugins can sometimes cause errors with GA Connector tracking because some plugins would cache or optimize only a portion of the tracking script.<\/p>\n<p>If tracking stopped working after activating a cache plugin like WP Rocket or WP Optimize, the cache plugin is more than likely to have caused the issue.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Fix #1<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The easiest way to fix this is to use GTM to install the GA Connector script as GTM will automatically optimize the script for you.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Go to <strong>GTM<\/strong>, and create a new \u201c<strong>Custom HTML<\/strong>\u201d tag<\/li>\n<li>Go to <a href=\"https:\/\/app.gaconnector.com\/dashboard\/integration\/ga-to-crm\">https:\/\/app.gaconnector.com\/dashboard\/integration\/ga-to-crm<\/a> and click <strong>Start Installation<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Copy the GA Connector script and paste it on the <strong>Custom HTML<\/strong> tag you\u2019ve created in GTM and publish it.<\/li>\n<li>Remove the G<strong>A Connector WordPress plugin<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3><b>Fix # 2:<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Another method to fix this issue is to install the GA Connector script manually on the &lt;head&gt; of your website.
