{"id":252,"date":"2017-07-03T12:30:11","date_gmt":"2017-07-03T12:30:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/support.gaconnector.com\/?p=252"},"modified":"2020-05-21T06:41:05","modified_gmt":"2020-05-21T06:41:05","slug":"questions-before-integrating-custom-forms","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gaconnector.com\/docs\/questions-before-integrating-custom-forms\/","title":{"rendered":"How to check if you custom forms can be integrated with GA Connector"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Most custom forms can be integrated with GA Connector, but before we begin, we need to double-check this.<\/p>\n<p>Here is what is required from the custom forms in order for us to be able to integrate them with GA Connector:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>They need to be connected with your CRM already<\/strong> (so that each form submission becomes a Lead\/Contact\/etc).<\/li>\n<li><strong>You need to be able to add new hidden fields to these forms<\/strong>. These hidden field need to have certain names that we provide. Example of such hidden field:\n<pre class=\"lang:default decode:true \">&lt;input type=\"hidden\" name=\"lc_source\"&gt;<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>You need to be able to connect these fields with your CRM<\/strong> (and create custom fields in your CRM that correspond to the hidden fields on the form). So that when the user submits a form, these hidden fields are automatically added to the Lead\/Contact\/etc object in your CRM.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>But if you can&#8217;t add hidden fields to your forms, you may still be able to integrate GA Connector using an <a href=\"https:\/\/gaconnector.com\/docs\/integrate-ga-connector-with-custom-forms\/#integration_method_2\">alternative integration method<\/a>\u00a0(provided that you can modify the code on your site that runs after\u00a0form submissions and sends them to the CRM).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Most custom forms can be integrated with GA Connector, but before we begin, we need to double-check this.
