Then you can double down on them to carry out effective lead generation to boost your sales and conversion rates.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So if you don&#8217;t calculate <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the most important<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> metric \u2013 Facebook ads ROI \u2013 you won&#8217;t possibly know if an ad is worth spending money on or if you need to cut back.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>How to calculate Facebook Ads ROI?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Great question.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At first, it may look as simple as subtracting the Facebook ad spend from the total revenue generated, but it&#8217;s a little more complex than that because you have to consider numerous factors. There are many ways to measure ROI on Facebook ad spending. They return to your Facebook page later and then visit your landing page to buy a product. Since Facebook assisted this sale, hence the name assisted conversion.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Step 10:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now head over to your Facebook Ads Manager and set the date to last 30 days.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Step 11:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you&#8217;ve more than one Facebook ad campaign running, see the total amount spent in the last 30 days on all Facebook campaigns.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Step 12:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Inside Facebook Ads Manager, select Columns &gt; Customize Columns.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1268\" src=\"https:\/\/gaconnector.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Step-12.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"258\" height=\"178\" \/><\/p>\n<p><b>Step 13:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click on Comparing Windows.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1269 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/gaconnector.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Step-13.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"251\" height=\"128\" \/><\/p>\n<p><b>Step 14:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you&#8217;re going all in Facebook marketing alone, mark the 28-day attribution window. On the contrary, if you undertake a comprehensive marketing strategy across different channels, then select the 1-day view window.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1270\" src=\"https:\/\/gaconnector.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Step-14.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"203\" height=\"253\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That&#8217;s because if you go for a 7-day or a 28-day window, Facebook will likely take credit for more conversions, and the stats will mislead. It is what it is, and you can&#8217;t do anything about it!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Step 15:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Check the Website Purchases Conversion.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Step 16:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now calculate ROI from Facebook. You can do that using the following formula:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1278\" src=\"https:\/\/gaconnector.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/roi-computation.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"573\" height=\"175\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gaconnector.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/roi-computation.jpg 573w, https:\/\/gaconnector.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/roi-computation-300x92.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 573px) 100vw, 573px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For instance, say you spend $20 per day on ads for four days to promote a $50 product.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Let&#8217;s assume 100 people click on your ad, 50 visit your website, and 20 like your product but don&#8217;t finish the checkout process. And only 10 of those 100 buy your product.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Revenue generated based on the $80 ad spend is $500. So, the calculation for ROI will go like this:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Net profit = $500 &#8211; $80 = $420<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Net Spend = $80<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>$420 \/ $80 x 100 = 525<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bravo! You&#8217;ve got a 525% ROI. That&#8217;s huge!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So, in order to have successful Facebook ad campaigns, you should set an ROI goal that meets your financial expectations.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>But there is a slight difference between ROI and ROAS (Return On Ad Spend) that you should know.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1286\" src=\"https:\/\/gaconnector.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/roas-computation.jpg\" alt=\"ROAS Computation\" width=\"629\" height=\"175\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gaconnector.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/roas-computation.jpg 629w, https:\/\/gaconnector.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/roas-computation-300x83.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 629px) 100vw, 629px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ROI is the revenue generated from a Facebook ad, which tells you if a campaign is profitable or not. On the other hand, <\/span><b>ROAS (Return on Ad Spend)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> calculates gross revenue made from every penny spent on marketing. ROAS metrics focus on how effectively a campaign generates impressions, clicks, and revenue.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Another great tool that speaks volumes about the social impact of individual ads is Facebook Insights. But tracking Facebook&#8217;s ROI isn&#8217;t its strong suit. Google Analytics comes in handy to fill this gap and gives you an ROI figure.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Well, that solves the problem <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">in a perfect world<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 not in the entrepreneurship world we live in.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Because Google Analytics provides you with data, but it doesn&#8217;t record anything off-website. Let&#8217;s take the example of an old audience again.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now you know that the older generation doesn&#8217;t trust the internet. To make the matter worse, they aren&#8217;t tech-savvy either. So, a majority of them are afraid of being scammed online, especially when paying with their credit cards.
